I Need To Set the Record Straight

I know I talk a lot about Chuck E. Cheese and I feel I need to set the record straight. I actually HATE Chuck E. Cheese. It’s noisy and full of germs. It gives me the creepy crawlies. The four times my family has been there was so I could get my money’s worth out of the 84 vaccinations my kids received.-Motherhoodisanart

    • LOL!!! Oh goodness no!! You don’t get vaccinations at Chuck E. Cheese! It’s a kid play area that I can only imagine is covered with numerous germs! My kids received their vaccinations at the doctor but I’m sure they are working in overdrive fighting off whooping cough, hepatitis and any other diseases that may be present in a place like this!! LOL!!

      • No lol I thought you meant you get a voucher for a vaccination AT Chucky Cheese…. ROFLMAO I’m glad I asked the ? and got a proper answer..otherwise I’d be..Oh my..how weird… We don’t have them over here…sounds like a good thing too 🙂

  1. My oldest is six, and so far, we’ve escaped that many years without our four kids knowing about Chuck E Cheese. Eventually, they’ll hear about it from friends, but I have no intentions of telling them about the place where you can go play in a ball pit full of pizza, pop, and snot. Maybe you could’ve just skipped the vaccinations, they’d probably get all the immunity necessary from that magical place. : )

  2. If Chuck E Cheese offered free vaccinations, they might get even more business. I agree with the idea that the kids might get an extra boost of immunity being exposed to all the diseases that lurk in there. I’m not a big fan either. We have Incredible Pizza here-it’s waaaaaaaaay better! I bet there’s less germs. The noise level is probably comparable, but you get to watch movies while you eat!

    • Wow! That is a concept I’ve never heard of! It would probably be a big hit here but as much as I can hear dollar signs I will not be opening one up around here!! Someone else in Wisconsin will have to jump on that band wagon!

  3. I signed up for the birthday club coupons from Chuck E Cheese (which they send out around each kid’s birthday and half birthday – why half birthday? no idea) and you get 20 free tokens without having to buy anything. This is the only time we head over there and only if we get there right when it opens at 9am while all of the other children are still asleep. 🙂 I haven’t spent any money there for the last 3 years and I’m pretty sure since we’re first thing in the morning, we encounter the least amount of germs….at least that’s what I am going with because it makes me feel better! haha!

    • Out of the four times we have been there, 3 of the times I think were Wednesday nights at 4:00 which wasn’t too bad in the way of noise. However, we were once there on a Saturday afternoon…it is craaaaaaaaaaaazzzy!!! And I think you are totally right…there are no germs early in the morning because I’m sure they wipe down every game and every inch of the tunnels and slides!!! LOL!!!

      • I know, I know. It’s probably even more disgusting in the morning because the germs have just been left to multiply overnight and are waiting to all cling to the first unsuspecting victim (aka, my kids), but I have to tell myself it’s cleaner in the morning so that I don’t feel so icky! haha! and there is no way I will go on a saturday afternoon! you are much braver than me! :0

  4. I’m with you on feeling creepy about Chuck E Cheese. But what’s a mom to do? I held out as long as I could. It’s inevitable, only matter of time before they discover tokens and rides. What happens when the kids get home from this indoor playland is something different altogether. Maybe we should spray our children down with a power hose? Perhaps that would take care of the germs.

  5. I took L. once for a birthday party. He was 4, got lost in the tunnels high above the play area, and I had to try to coach him to the slide from the floor using hand gestures because I was too pregnant to crawl in after him. Thankfully, some boys we didn’t know were kind enough to help him get down to me. We haven’t been back since and A. has no clue it exists. 🙂

    • That is so funny!!! The same thing happened to me with my first kid! It was at a McDonald’s play land and I actually had to got up and rescue her from the tunnels and go down the slide with her…Some other parents in the play area started clapping…so embarrassing!!! LOL!!
