The kids had a blast coloring Easter eggs today!
After we were done with the dyeing process I had the kids make “clothes” for their eggs using construction paper. After we had them dressed we set up them up for photo shoots in my daughter’s doll house! Enjoy our Egg Photo Shoots:
What a funny idea! Love the photo shoot!
Thank you so much!
A very different, and creative idea. The children did a great job. Beautiful doll house! Be Blessed, Mtetar
Thank you Mtetar!
My pleasure! Mtetar
So cute! I especially like the eggs in the bathroom. The toilet looks like an egg cup! ๐
Thank you! If I made poached eggs (or whatever kind of eggs you serve in egg cups) that would be so funny to serve them in!!!
That is such a fun & creative idea! I’ve never heard of that one before.
Thank you Keisha! I just thought of it yesterday but I’m sure others have done this before…or is it possible I’m the only strange egg out there??!!!
Glad it was such a good time. The eggs look cute.
Thanks Larry!
This is so cute! Very unique and creative idea. Love the egg in the toilet – it made me laugh!!
Thank you! We had a lot of fun doing it!
Bathroom scene is so cute. I love all the others ๐
Thank you so much!
I cracked up at the bathroom scene. Cute idea — I’ll bet your house was full of giggles!
Oh it was!! It was such a fun afternoon!
This is THE BEST IDEA!!!! How funny, adorable, cute, whimsical, creative, !!!!!!! LOVE IT!
Thank you Colleen!
There is an egg on the toilet!!!!!!! ๐ ๐ Adorable!
I had a sneaky suspicion you would like that one!!!
Love this!!!
Thank you!
That is toooooo cool! I love anything with eyes, so this is right up my alley!
Oh yeah….I knew that! Maybe you subconsciously inspired me!!!
hahahahaha – I was always doing good to get them in that little wrap around skirt on them, never would have managed to dress them up! Nor would my parents been able to get us to sit still long enough!
Yes, my kids have strangely got used to my weird endeavors!
LOL! It’s good for everyone!
Too cute!!
Thank you Sheri!
wow you are so creative!
Thank you Barbara!
Really cute idea and never would have thought to do that!! ๐
Thank you Janine!
Glad I found your blog—I am always looking for inspiration to enjoy my time with my little one. And I’m nodding along to your blog title, haha. Motherhood is definitely an art and not a science!
Absolutely….definitely not a science! I was so happy to find your blog as well! You’re a girl after my “creative” heart!
How cute are they, and they even have their own place! Looks like mum n dad had a blast too! X
The kids actually wanted the eggs to stay in the doll house but I had to explain that unfortunately they would start to smell really bad if we didn’t get them into the refrigerator!
Love everything about it! & happy you guys made these as a family! ๐
Thank you Ingrid! My husband secretly LOVES dyeing Easter eggs so I knew he wouldn’t miss out on the fun!
Clothes for the eggs – very clever and quite cute!
Thank you!!
Absolutely eggciting!!! ๐
It was an eggcellent time!!! haha!!
Those eggs are too cute!!! And their own home too!!! I love the one in the toilet… How fun is that! As usual, I am soooo behind on Easter crafts and decorating.
Thank you Lidia! I admit it was much harder for me this year too with all of the snow on the ground! It just doesn’t feel like it could possibly be Easter!
Love it… We usually just do names. (Except the ones IP and I do for each other, those we put naughty messages on!

Motherhood is an Art is another blog I regularly follow. Melissa has some great anecdotes about life with her three kids and a bit of creativity thrown in. I love many of her posts but chose this funny one with the coloured eggs. It appealed to my quirky sense of humour. xx Rowena
Thank you so much Rowena!! I really appreciate it! I love that you enjoyed our weird little eggs!! Have a great weekend!! Melissa
