My name is Melissa. I live in Wisconsin with my husband and 3 children.

I love to learn and create. I am usually knee deep in some sort of project. I love reading, writing, painting and decorating. I am passionate about garage sales, decorating my house on a dime and teaching my children to be the best people they possibly can be. I take my role as a mother seriously and try to enjoy every minute of it. The minutes that I am not enjoying I try to find the humor in them because otherwise I would probably cry.

I think I can best be described as someone with “ants in their pants” because I’m rarely sitting still. I want to experience as much as possible in this short life that we have!

    Le Clown wants to know: Here he is trying to blog, and my kids are trying to get my attention with the “feed me”, “entertain me”, “get me out of this closet, my bowl of water is dry”… What should I do?

    • By all means…fill the water dish! Hydration is a key factor in our household! Next, give them play-doh. Do not attempt to make homemade dough or buy this at the Dollar Store…go with the good stuff! Teach them how to make play-doh snakes and give them a bag of gummi bears…you should be free to write for an hour! Do not hold me responsible for the aftermath!

  31. I’m in Wisconsin, too… but only until the end of June and then we’re off to the state of Washington (Navy). I’m really enjoying your blog – it’s so fresh and real! (And I really don’t think I will ever embrace laundry and ironing…) 🙂

    • Oh wow…Wisconsin too! You got to at least experience this crazy winter! Thank you so much for the wonderful compliment! The only reason I really like doing ironing is because most of blog ideas come to me while I’m doing this boring chore. As for laundry…the only plus I can find to it is….clean clothes!     • Wow! I just got done checking it out Ellie! Thanks for the link! That is so impressive and amazing! That has got to be such a fun job! I can’t believe the amount of things you do too! Your prices are so reasonable that you must be constantly busy! If you lived closer I could definitely use some help with organization. Sometimes I get a handle on it and then it all falls apart so quickly! Good luck to you and much success on this true dream career Ellie!
