When I look into their eyes, I can see it all.
I see their delight, their pain and their frustration.
I see their warmth of love radiating through me.
I can see their hopes, their dreams and their future all by looking into their eyes.
Their eyes tell me the story of their yesterday.
I only need to see the light in their eyes to know.
Their eyes help me to see things more clearly.
The surprise in their eye surprises me too.
When the world has me weary the only thing I need to do is look into those eyes.
Those eyes remind me that I know everything I need to know.
When I look into my child’s eyes.
Beautiful ! 🙂

So true! A child’s eyes are often a window to their soul. So pure and full of hope!
It’s amazing how you get to know them so well that all it takes is the one look!
Neat! I like how you did this post. Very original. I think WordPress needs to put this on their Freshly Pressed page! If I knew how to recommend it, I would do that!
haha!! Thanks for the compliment! That’s really nice! I’ve never had a hand with poetry so I thought I better dress it up with some eyes!!!

What a lovely post. Such a simple and wonderful way to view our children and how much and why we love them so much.

I wanted to reblog this post today in the wake of the tragedy that happened yesterday in Connecticut. I am deeply saddened by this and my heart goes out to all the parents and family that will never be able to look into their child’s eyes.
It was beautiful then, and beautiful for this occasion.
Thank you Joyce
A beautiful message.. very true, their eyes says it all……
Thank you…such a simple thing has so much meaning
I remember this post very well, beautiful, hugged my little one very hard yesterday, thank you for expressing in your words what many of us are feeling.
Absolutely, couldn’t help hugging and snuggling the kids so much more
Such a simple yet complex post. Very beautiful, my friend.
Thank you so much!
I know… I cannot imagine the grief and sadness that they must be going through.

Thank you Kelly!
OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are SO very connected! Saturday we had a family reunion and we were all staying at the center where it was held. So Husband and I worked until about 130 am editing the pictures from the night and while I was editing I had all of these beautiful children’s eyes looking back at me. And I was just amazed at what they see…..us. I actually started out by wanting to go backwards and write about the history of these eyes and though spread out wide…..their vision gone backwards all go to the same place. Our ancestors. I may still do that one. 🙂 Thank you for sharing this Melissa!
There is definitely something about children’s eyes that are so mesmerizing! I can see how yours caught your eye! I love the idea of how the vision all goes back to the same place! I can’t wait to see that post!
🙂 Thank you Melissa! It may be awhile so I can figure out how to add vision in to those eyes. I have such great ideas ….. making them work is all together different. 🙂
